Profile & Story

Bodegas Lustau was founded in 1896 by Jose Ruiz-Berdejo, operating first as an almacenista supplying larger Jerez shippers before Emilio Lustau Ortega began bottling wine under the family name in 1945. Amontillado Los Arcos takes its name from two arches at the entrance to Lustau's Plaza del Cubo winery, each dedicated to the wife of one of Emilio Lustau's sons. Made from 100% Palomino grapes, it ages for equal periods under flor and in oxidative contact over eight years. It carries 18.5% alcohol.

Tasting Notes

Amber with golden highlights, with penetrating hazelnut aromatics and hints of sweet spices on the nose. Light, soft and round on the palate, with a rich, nutty character built over years of aging and a long, dry finish.

Pairing Recommendation

The producer recommends pairing with artichokes, aged cheeses, nuts, olives, consomme, mushroom risottos, and spiced Indian cuisine.
