Soto del Vicario is the Bierzo estate of Pago del Vicario, located in San Clemente near Cacabelos, Leon, planted with vines ranging from 50 to 110 years old. The estate champions indigenous Bierzo varieties, including Dona Blanca, Palomino and Malvasia. Orange Marrows is crafted from the estate's white and orange-skinned indigenous grapes, macerated on their skins to build texture, color and aromatic depth, reflecting a heritage-driven, low-intervention approach true to the varietals.
Tasting Notes
Deep golden-amber color from extended skin contact. The nose offers dried apricot, orange peel and wild herb notes, with a savory, mineral undertone drawn from the estate's steep slate-and-clay slopes. The palate is textured and structured, framed by fresh acidity and a light, grippy tannin on the finish.
