Profile & Story
Avinyo is a family wine estate at Can Fontanals in the Penedes, farmed organically across 14 generations, with vines planted between 1945 and 2017 at 250-275m elevation. Their Cava Reserva Brut is a traditional-method blend of 60% Macabeo, 25% Xarel-lo and 15% Parellada, grown, vinified and bottled entirely on the estate - Macabeo lending aromatics, Xarel-lo giving body and greengage character, and Parellada contributing acidity and finesse.
Tasting Notes
Medium, very abundant bubbles forming a steady bead. Pale yellow color with greenish reflections. Fresh, clean, pleasant nose with good aromatic intensity and primary fruit/floral aromas. On the palate, a pleasant sweetness well balanced with acidity.
