Profile & Story

Bodegas Muga is a family winery in Haro, Rioja Alta. Rosado blends Garnacha and Viura (with a smaller portion of Tempranillo) from two zones - the calcareous clay soils of Valle del Oja and the ferrous clay of Valle del Najerilla - using older vines for concentration. Grapes are hand-selected with a gentle five-hour maceration in the press, fermented at 16-18C for 15-20 days, then aged on fine lees for 16 weeks for added body and smoothness.

Pairing Recommendation

Ideal with shellfish, pasta and rice dishes; also good as an aperitif or with salads.
