Profile & Story

Antonio Camillo founded his eponymous estate in 2006 in the Maremma, the wild southern coast of Tuscany, after years spent tending other growers' vineyards in the region. His vineyards are spread across Pitigliano, Manciano and Capalbio, farmed with minimal intervention on old, low-yielding vines of indigenous varieties including Ciliegiolo, Procanico, Vermentino and Sangiovese. This Ciliegiolo is vinified entirely in steel with extended skin maceration and spontaneous fermentation from indigenous yeasts, then aged six to twelve months before release, reaching 13% ABV.

Tasting Notes

A clear ruby red, with a nose of red fruit, warm spice and delicate floral notes. The palate is bright and fruity, framed by silky tannins and a mineral thread reflecting the Maremma terroir.

Pairing Recommendation

Pairs well with red meats, roasts and aged cheeses, as well as classic Tuscan dishes such as white meats, vegetable soups and rustic first courses.
