Profile & Story

The Di Carlo family's winemaking history reaches back to 1830, when Camillo Di Carlo first exported grapes from Abruzzo. Nobu 1830 continues that legacy: a 100% Pecorino grown near Ortona in the Chieti province at 380 meters, on calcareous, pebbly, south-facing soil, Guyot-trained and hand-harvested in late August and early September. The family's own technique cools the fruit before fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks and amphorae, reaching 13% ABV.

Tasting Notes

Golden yellow with greenish reflections. The nose is complex and deep, with ripe fruit, balsamic and medicinal herb notes. The palate is savory and mineral, structured and balanced, with candied citrus and almond.

Pairing Recommendation

Recommended as an aperitif, or with seafood, white meats, soups and cheeses, served at 10°C.
