San Salvatore 1988 farms 149 hectares of organic land in the heart of the Cilento National Park, near Paestum, Stio and Giungano in Campania. Vetere takes its name from Magliano Vetere, the small town near the estate's Cannito vineyards where the grapes are grown. Made from 100% Aglianico, the wine is produced with six hours of cryomaceration, soft pressing with brief skin contact, fermentation in stainless steel, and six months of aging on the lees in steel before release.
Tasting Notes
A pale pink rosato with aromas of wild strawberry, watermelon and pomegranate, lifted by a hint of Mediterranean herbs. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with vibrant acidity balancing fresh red berries and citrus peel, closing on a saline, mineral note.
