Les Hauts de Smith is the second wine of Château Smith Haut Lafitte, the Pessac-Léognan Cru Classé estate in Bordeaux's Graves district known for producing red, white and rosé wines under biodynamic farming. The rosé is a blend of roughly eighty percent Cabernet Sauvignon and twenty percent Merlot, hand-harvested and both direct-pressed and vinified partly in vat, partly in barrel.
Tasting Notes
A bright pink-salmon color introduces aromas of fresh berry fruit, citrus, white flowers and spice; the palate shows lovely texture and freshness, with complex fruit and notable length.
