Avignonesi is a certified organic and biodynamic estate in Montepulciano. Their Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG is 100% Sangiovese, aged in wood with a deliberately unobtrusive oak influence; the 2022 vintage, from a dry winter, cool spring and hot, dry summer, yielded about 233,306 bottles at 14% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Bright, medium-intensity red with purplish reflections; aromas of small red berries, pomegranate juice and the violet note typical of fine Sangiovese, with a palate of ripe cherry, plum jam and hints of licorice, framed by well-defined tannins and a smooth, enveloping texture.
