Profile & Story

Bodegas Albamar, led by winemaker Xurxo Alba, sources fruit from 20 growers on granite soils around Castrelo in Cambados, in the Salnes Valley heart of Rias Baixas. The wine ferments spontaneously and ages eight months on the lees, mostly in stainless steel with a small portion in neutral oak foudre, without malolactic conversion; alcohol runs 12.5-13%.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of hawthorn blossom, jasmine, lime and apple with a delicate orange-blossom lift; the palate is steely and mineral, with lemon-zest flavors and a tangy, granite-etched finish.
