Sandhi was founded in 2010 by Rajat Parr and winemaker Sashi Moorman with a singular focus on small-production, single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Sta. Rita Hills AVA in Santa Barbara County, a cool, fog-influenced corridor whose east-west orientation channels Pacific marine air deep inland.

Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay of this style typically shows pale gold color with green-tinged reflections, aromas of citrus, orchard fruit and wet stone, and a linear, saline palate shaped by the region's cool, wind-swept coastal climate.
