Profile & Story

Cascina Luisin was founded in 1913 by Luigi Minuto and is today run by his great-grandson Roberto, from a base near the village of Barbaresco. The estate focuses on Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Arneis. Maggiur comes from a plot of vines nearly a century old in San Rocco Seno d'Elvio, in Alba, fermented in stainless steel with a week's maceration and aged a year in large oak cask.

Tasting Notes

Clean, fresh floral and dark-berry aromas lead to a richer, deeper palate of bright dark fruit and cocoa notes on a long, juicy finish — a well-balanced Barbera d'Alba.
