Profile & Story
Podere Concori farms biodynamically in the Garfagnana, a mountainous area of Tuscany between the Apuan Alps and the Apennines near Lucca, on some of the highest vineyard sites in the region. Founded by Luigi Da Prato in the 1950s and revived by Gabriele Da Prato in 1998, the estate is known for cool-climate Syrah and Pinot Nero. Melograno is a 100% Syrah Toscana IGT from rocky, pebble- and silica-rich soils, spontaneously fermented with native yeasts and aged around 10 months in small barrels.
Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red in color, with aromas of ripe red fruit, spice and mineral notes. Warm and enveloping on the palate, persistent, with soft tannins and elegant freshness.

Pairs well with grilled red meats, roasts, game and aged cheeses.
