The Paolo Scavino winery was founded in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto by Lorenzo Scavino and his son Paolo; today Enrico Scavino runs the family estate with his daughters Enrica and Elisa, farming 30 hectares in the Barolo area. This Langhe Nebbiolo is made from 100 percent Nebbiolo from sites that emphasize the grape's more ethereal aromatics and structure; fermentation is at low temperature for a soft extraction, followed by a short time in neutral oak with the remaining ageing in stainless steel to preserve freshness.
Tasting Notes
Langhe Nebbiolo is typically pale garnet, offering aromas of red cherry, rose and dried herbs with fine, fresh tannins and bright acidity.
