Adega de Moncao was founded in 1958 in the Monção e Melgaço sub-region of Vinho Verde, in northwest Portugal on the border with Spain. This 100% Alvarinho bottling is described by the winery as its tribute to the 'queen variety' of the grape's birthplace. Awards include a Silver Medal at the Zarcillo International Wine Awards (2025), 88 points from Wine Enthusiast (2025), and an Honor distinction at Melhores Verdes do Ano (2021).
