Profile & Story

In the early 1900s, Joseph Pascal settled in Puligny-Montrachet to work the land. His son Jean trained at Domaine Leflaive before buying vineyard parcels with his wife Cecile in the early 1950s. Jean-Luc joined in 1975, forming Domaine Jean Pascal & Fils, and expanded the estate to about 14-15 hectares across Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Auxey-Duresses and Volnay. Since the 2021 harvest, all of the family's production is sold under the Joseph Pascal name (their great-grandson), allowing the full ~120,000-bottle annual production, including share-cropped fruit, to remain within the domaine. The estate is now run by fourth-generation Alexandra Pascal.
