OMEN is a second label from the team behind Matthiasson Wines. The Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Sage Creek Vineyard in the Chiles Valley AVA, a sub-appellation on the northeast side of Napa Valley -- a long, high-elevation valley with primarily volcanic soils. The 70-acre Sage Creek property sits at 2,400 feet elevation, with 32 acres planted; the upper vineyard block used for this wine comprises 5 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon alongside Petite Sirah and Viognier plantings. Production of the 2023 was 323 cases.
