Profile & Story
Champagne Pierre Gobillard is a family estate in Hautvillers, birthplace of Champagne and home of the monk Dom Perignon. Hervé and Florence Gobillard bring four generations of know-how to the house; their children Pierre-Alexis and Chloe have since joined to carry on the family style. The vineyards extend across the Hautvillers and Cumieres districts and are planted to Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Brut Authentique is a blend of 30% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 40% Meunier.
Tasting Notes
Golden yellow in color with abundant foam and a fine, persistent bead. The nose is round and ripe with aromas of dried fruit and a touch of honey, joined by lemony notes with aeration. The palate is lively with tangy freshness, and once the carbonic bite subsides, notes of dried fruit and honey reappear on the finish.
