Sapiddu is a small Sicilian label bottling under the Terre Siciliane IGT; no producer website could be located, so the details here come from the US retailers that carry the wine. 'Sferragosto' plays on Ferragosto, the mid-August holiday. It is a dry, still white from organically farmed Catarratto, Sicily's most widely planted white grape, hand harvested and fermented slowly in steel tanks with gentle lees stirring for texture, at around 13% alcohol.
