About the Wine

The Carneros Chardonnay is rooted in Frank Family’s Lewis Vineyard, a cool, foggy site near San Pablo Bay ideal for growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Its clay loam soils and low rainfall produce low yields with concentrated flavor and balanced acidity. Additional fruit comes from top Carneros vineyards, including Beckstoffer, Hudson, and Sangiacomo.

Tasting Notes

Hailing from acclaimed vineyard sites, the 2018 Carneros Chardonnay offers a creamy, full-bodied wine complemented by fresh, persistent acidity. Layers of yellow apple, lemon curd, baked pear, and toasted brioche lead to a balanced and lasting finish of vanilla and baking spice.

Pairing Notes

The 2018 Carneros Chardonnay’s creamy body and bright acidity make it a perfect match for dishes like roast chicken, crab cakes, or creamy mushroom risotto. Its notes of lemon curd, baked pear, and toasted brioche also pair beautifully with soft cheeses and buttery seafood dishes.
