'A Vita Greco Bianco 'Leuko'

'A Vita was founded by Francesco De Franco and Laura Violino in Cirò Marina, Calabria, farming eight hectares with respect for biodiversity in a coastal area where vines have been cultivated for over 2,500 years. 'Leuko' is a blend of 70% Greco Bianco and 30% Gaglioppo -- a red grape here vinified white -- from the Frassà vineyard, just meters from the Ionian Sea. The Greco Bianco is briefly macerated on its skins while the Gaglioppo is direct-pressed, and the two co-ferment spontaneously in stainless steel before eight months of aging on the lees, with light filtration and minimal sulfur before bottling.
