Profile & Story

Cantina La Vis, founded in 1948 and based in the town of Lavis in Trentino, produces this Sauvignon Blanc as part of the 'Classics' selection dedicated to the region's most representative wines. The grapes come from high-elevation vineyards at the mouth of the Cembra Valley, where wide day-to-night temperature swings help preserve aromatic intensity. After hand harvest in late September, the fruit is gently pressed and fermented at controlled temperature in steel, with about 10% aged in oak barrels and further refinement on the lees for four to five months before bottling.

Tasting Notes

Pale yellow with green highlights, offering an intense, sweetly aromatic bouquet of elderflower, peach and ripe fruit. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with a savory, mineral edge and a finish of ripe fruit.

Pairing Recommendation

Recommended with fish, including grilled preparations, and shellfish.
