Elvio Cogno's estate sits atop Bricco Ravera, a hill near Novello in the Langhe. Nascetta is the only indigenous white grape of the Langhe, and it was Elvio Cogno who rescued it from near-extinction in the early 1990s, producing the first 800 experimental bottles of 'Anas-Cetta' in 1994; the wine helped establish 'Nascetta del Comune di Novello' as its own Langhe DOC subzone in 2010.
Tasting Notes
A complex nose of white flowers, citrus and mineral notes, with vibrant acidity balancing a rich texture; hints of sage and rosemary appear alongside a waxy character that can develop petrol notes with age.
