Giordano Lombardo farms a 20-hectare, certified-biodynamic estate just outside the medieval town of Gavi, on the border of Piemonte and Liguria, keeping yields low and forgoing pesticides, herbicides, anti-mildew agents and synthetic fertilizers. This Gavi di Gavi is made from 100% Cortese, the appellation's native grape.
Tasting Notes
Crisp and bone-dry, with melon-rind and salty lemon notes accented by a nutty, blanched-almond character typical of Cortese grown around Gavi.
