La Spinetta was founded in 1977 by Giuseppe Rivetti in Castagnole Lanze, and it was Moscato d'Asti -- released that same year as the first-ever single-vineyard bottling of the wine -- that launched the estate before it became known for its reds. The house's Moscato d'Asti is 100% Muscat, harvested fully ripe, gently crushed, and given a long, cool fermentation at 15C over about a month in a pressurized stainless steel tank to retain the grape's natural sweetness and delicate bubble.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of peach blossom and orange dominate the nose, with fresh peach and floral honey notes carrying through a light, gently sweet, effervescent palate.
