Alex Foillard is the son of Beaujolais 'Gang of Four' producer Jean Foillard. After studying viticulture and oenology in Beaune, he purchased his own vineyards around Brouilly and Côte-de-Brouilly. This Beaujolais-Villages comes from a plot of roughly 70-year-old Gamay vines on limestone and sand soils, farmed organically (in conversion) without machinery. Vinification is whole-cluster with native-yeast fermentation, no fining or filtration, and only a light sulfur addition at bottling. Imported by Kermit Lynch.
