Profile & Story
C.N. Kopke is Porto's oldest port house, founded in 1638 by German merchant Christiano Kopke. A Colheita is a single-harvest tawny-style port aged in oak for a minimum of seven years before release; Kopke's White Colheita is a rarer style made from a blend of white Douro varieties - Gouveio, Malvasia Fina, Viosinho, and Cercial - aged in wood since the 2013 harvest.
Tasting Notes
Golden in color, with a delicate, subtle nose of yellow stone fruit and wood spice; assertive acidity carries the wood-aged spice notes to an elegant, fresh finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Dried fruit, walnut-stuffed apricots, smoked salmon, orange tart, and vanilla ice cream.
