Profile & Story
Le Pauillac de Chateau Latour has been made every year since 1989 and was developed primarily for the restaurant market. It is drawn mainly from young vines growing on the less prestigious terroirs of the estate, together with lots that do not meet the selection criteria for Les Forts de Latour in a given vintage. About 20% new barrels are used in its vinification, the precise proportion varying with the characteristics of the year, and the blend typically consists of nearly 45% Merlot.
Tasting Notes
A generous, fruity wine and an excellent introduction to the family of wines produced by Chateau Latour. It can be enjoyed after four to five years of ageing, and will continue to improve for several more years.
