Profile & Story
Leyda Valley is one of Chile’s most distinctive cool-climate wine regions, located only a few kilometers from the Pacific Ocean. The strong maritime influence, morning fog, and constant coastal breezes create a long, slow ripening season that preserves acidity and enhances aromatic complexity, making it especially suited for Sauvignon Blanc. The Amayna vineyards are 100% organically certified and managed under regenerative agriculture practices, focusing on soil health, biodiversity, and minimal intervention in the vineyard. Low yields and careful hand harvesting allow the fruit to express the coastal terroir with precision and purity. The resulting Sauvignon Blanc is vibrant and expressive, showing aromas of citrus, tropical fruits, and delicate herbal notes. On the palate it combines concentration with freshness, supported by bright acidity and a subtle saline character typical of Leyda’s ocean-influenced vineyards, finishing long and precise.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant and crystal-clear wine, pale golden in color with green reflections. The nose is immediately complex, opening with subtle aromas of ripe and tropical fruits intertwined with hints of fresh lime and gentle herbal undertones. As it breathes in the glass, the complexity unfolds, revealing nuances of physalis, white peach, and fresh pineapple. A delicate, well-integrated herbal note crowns the ensemble — a distinctive hallmark of Sauvignon Blanc from the Leyda Valley. On the palate, it stands out for its great concentration and unctuous texture, filling the mouth without losing precision or freshness. Its density is perfectly balanced by a vibrant, well-integrated acidity, delivering a persistent, saline, and deep finish. An excellent vintage of this Amayna Sauvignon Blanc, showing remarkable potential for aging and evolution in the bottle.
