Facets Chardonnay
2023, Sonoma Coast, USA
About the Wine
Sonoma County offers an exceptional array of vineyard sources, providing us with a diverse range of fruit to source from. The region is a mosaic of complex soils with terroirs with varying degrees of marine influence, elevation, and a mix of both new and established Chardonnay clones. Our goal is to craft a Chardonnay that embodies elegance and balance, all at a great value. Sourced primarily from 35-year-old vines in the cool, fog-kissed Green Valley of Russian River's Goldridge soils, and complemented by fruit from other sites further south in the Russian River and Petaluma Gap, each component of the wine contributes to its harmonious character.
Tasting Notes
The wine shows bright and fresh flavor profiles of crisp green apple, citrus fruits like lemon and lime, and subtle notes of white peach and marked by a well-balanced structure. The cool coastal influence brings vibrant acidity with mineral undertones, adding depth and complexity.
