Château Nicot is the historic estate at the heart of Les Vignobles Dubourg, a family winegrowing operation on the right bank of the Garonne in Escoussans, near Bordeaux, run by the Dubourg family since 1870 across six generations. The property, planted on clay-limestone soils across the Bordeaux and Entre-deux-Mers appellations, holds High Environmental Value certification and is farmed with an approach the estate describes as blending tradition with the evolution of technique while respecting its terroir. The white blend, 60% Sauvignon, 25% Sémillon and 15% Muscadelle, is described by the producer as showing intense aromas of exotic fruit, with a round, suave palate and a harmonious, balanced structure; the combination of the three varieties is said to give the wine considerable elegance.
