Cantina Colli Euganei is a cooperative winery based in Vò, in the province of Padua, bringing together around 680 growers whose vineyards lie within the protected Euganean Hills Nature Reserve. Described by the producer as the leading wine producer in the local area, the cooperative processes roughly 7 million kilos of grapes into about 5 million liters of wine and 2 million bottles a year, with technical support and quality oversight provided to member growers from vineyard to cellar. This Pinot Grigio is made from 100% Pinot Grigio grapes harvested in late August to early September from the volcanic Colli Euganei hills, whose soils combine ancient volcanic rock with sedimentary alluvial deposits. The wine is straw yellow with green highlights, dry yet well-balanced, with an intense, aromatic bouquet of fresh fruit and good flavor intensity on the palate.
