Cantine Maschio was founded in 1973 by Bonaventura Maschio in Visnà di Vazzola, Veneto, converting the family's distillery into a modern winery spanning a region the producer describes as running "from the foothills of the Dolomites to the Venetian coast." The winery built its identity on pairing respect for tradition with early adoption of advanced production methods, including cold extraction and temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve aromatic freshness, and it grew into one of the area's main Prosecco producers, credited with pioneering products such as semi-sparkling wines and the 20cl mini Prosecco bottle. Maschio's Prosecco is made from Glera grapes grown in the Veneto winegrowing area, and the producer describes its Prosecco DOC as fresh and versatile, showcasing the aromatic character of the Glera grape in a style suited to everyday drinking as well as celebration.
