About the Wine
Malahi is the ancient name for Areni, Armenia’s primary red grape variety. During the soviet period the name was forcefully changed to Areni. The slogan of the wines is “Crossing parallels”: the meeting point of international and indigenous varieties and winemaking worlds. The artwork on the label is named “Chameleon” and was created by architect Ararat Haydeyan. These are gastro wines with a moderate or modest amount of oak aging. Varieties: Sev Areni (Areni Noir) 50%, Khndoghni 25%, and Cot Malbec 25%. Barrel aging: up to 6 months in 1-3-year-old barrels under white wine medium/low toasted. Alcohol content: 14,0 % by vol.
