Carlos Raposo Impecável Touriga Nacional

Profile & Story

Winemaker Carlos Raposo trained in Bordeaux and Burgundy and served as head winemaker at Niepoort before launching his own project in Dão in 2018. He owns no vineyards himself, instead sourcing small parcels of old vines — typically 30 to 50 years old — from growers who farm organically and biodynamically in the cooler, granitic Serra da Estrela subregion. Impecável is a pure varietal Touriga Nacional made without any oak influence.
