Domaine Le Colombier has been run by the Mourre family since 1962 in Vacqueyras, in the southern Rhône; Jean-Louis Mourre, a trained geologist, took over as the third generation in 1995 and farms the estate's sandstone-and-limestone parcels organically. '6 Rats' is a 100% Syrah bottling made without oak aging to preserve its fruit.
