Folias de Baco is the personal project of winemaker Tiago Sampaio, who studied viticulture and enology in Vila Real and completed a PhD in Oregon before returning to his Douro roots in the Cima Corgo. Uivo Renegado is a field blend of more than 25 indigenous red and white Portuguese varieties from 80-year-old, high-altitude vines, co-fermented after a brief whole-cluster maceration with native yeasts and aged six months in old chestnut oak and cement.
