Profile & Story

Maison M. Chapoutier is a historic Rhône house whose labels have carried Braille text since 1996, in tribute to Maurice de la Sizeranne, inventor of an early abridged Braille and founder of the Valentin Haüy association. Rouge Clair, a Grenache-Syrah blend, is designed to be served chilled or over ice: its label is thermochromatic, and the word 'Fresh' appears once the bottle drops below 12°C (53.6°F). The grapes are grown and vinified at lower temperatures to keep the wine light on tannin while retaining fruit and freshness, at 12.5% ABV.

Tasting Notes

Delicate aromas of strawberries and mashed raspberries with floral notes on the nose; clear, well-balanced acidity on the palate.

Pairing Recommendation

Ideal with light dishes or as a sunny apéritif.
