Mont'Alegre Vinhos was founded in 2015 by brothers Francisco and Paulo Gonçalves, who grew up in the village of Montalegre in Trás-os-Montes and gained experience in the region's Port houses before turning to fresh, elegant table wines. Their vineyards sit on poor, granite-dominant soils above 650 meters — including one of Portugal's highest vineyards, planted at 1,070 meters — drawing on fruit from Montalegre, Chaves, and the Planalto Mirandês. Clássico blends the native Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Amarela into a dry, full-bodied red built for freshness and elegance.
