Domaine Collet is a family domaine based in Chablis, in the Yonne department of Burgundy. The Vieilles Vignes bottling is drawn from 100% Chardonnay vines averaging 85 years old, planted at a density of 6,000 vines per hectare and yielding around 50 hectoliters per hectare, and is aged 10 to 12 months before release.
Tasting Notes
The wine shows classic, old-school Chablis character, with dry citrus notes, green apple, and zesty lemon on the nose intertwined with a hint of wet stone; the palate is generous and forthright, full of dry extract and bright freshness, with spiced, iodine-tinged notes meeting a mineral, acid-driven finish.
