Domaine Dominique et Janine Crochet is a fifth-generation family estate based in the hamlet of Bue in Sancerre, now run by brothers Teddy and Cyprien following the passing of their father Dominique. The domaine farms roughly 12 hectares of its own vines (out of 35 total across the family group) in the communes of Sancerre, Crezancy, and Vinon, with notable holdings in Chene Marchand, Grand Chemarin, Champ Chene, and the steep, southeast-facing Cote de Bue; vines average 30 to 70 years old across a mix of caillottes, terres blanches, flint, limestone, and calcareous clay soils. The estate farms organically, is pursuing certification, and vinifies most of its white wines in stainless steel to emphasize fruit and floral character, hand-harvesting all single-vineyard cuvees.
