Produttori del Barbaresco is Piedmont's benchmark growers' cooperative, founded in 1958 and still the only single-varietal cellar in the Langhe — more than fifty member families now farm 120 hectares of Nebbiolo around the village of Barbaresco, among the appellation's most storied cru sites. This bottling is the cooperative's base Barbaresco DOCG (the 'normale'), fermented in stainless steel and aged in large oak botti.
Tasting Notes
Wine Advocate's Monica Larner found the 2022 'happily elegant and poised' despite a relatively high 15% alcohol, with small-berry aromas of cassis and wild cherry framed by expressive floral notes of lilac and earthy iris root; the palate delivers immediate depth and finesse, balancing the warm vintage's natural richness with the precision and freshness that define the cooperative's house style.
