The Withers is a small California winery working with Grenache-based blends from the Sierra Foothills, inspired by the winemakers of the southern Rhône who favor the more ethereal, mineral-driven side of the variety. This bottling is sourced from El Dorado County vineyards planted on granite and volcanic-caldera soils, blending 89% Grenache with 7% Mourvèdre and 4% Syrah, and is aged two years in 100% neutral French oak. Alcohol is 13.4%.
Tasting Notes
The wine offers delicate, flinty and persistent aromas of roasted red and citrus fruits, coating the palate with texture, perfect balance and a medium body.
