Guatambu Winery, located in Dom Pedrito (Campanha Gaúcha, Brasil), was elected "Winery of the Year" in the prestigious Descorchados 2023 guide. Recognized for its high technology and sustainability, the winery stood out with award-winning sparkling wines (such as the Nature Blanc de Blancs) and red wines, consolidating its position at the forefront of Brazilian wine. This sparkling wine was made using the traditional method (champenoise), with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, and aged for 20 months on the surlie. The base wine was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
It presents a tea-rose color, delicate and elegant aromas of dried fruits, apricot, crystallized fig, as well as floral and vanilla notes. It exhibits a persistent effervescence and a creamy crown. On the palate, it stands out for its creaminess and complexity, presenting pleasant notes of white-fleshed fruits such as apricot and mango, as well as citrus and vanilla notes. With a long and refreshing finish, it is a memorable sparkling wine.
Pairing Recommendation
It pairs well with sushi, seafood, white meats, and risotto.
