Guatambu is a family-owned winery located in the far south of Brazil, at latitude 31. The Tannat grape has adapted very well to the dry, sunny summer climate. Guatambu stands out for its sustainability, being carbon negative.
Tasting Notes
It has a fruity aroma, highlighting dark fruits such as blackberry and plum, as well as a menthol touch. On the palate it is powerful, with ripe tannins, yet elegant. It has a persistent finish, highlighting notes of dark fruit and spices, such as clove and vanilla.
Pairing Recommendation
It pairs well with grilled meats, both beef and lamb.
