Profile & Story

Chateau Suduiraut is a historic Premier Cru Classe estate in Sauternes (Preignac), owned by AXA Millesimes. Castelnau de Suduiraut, the estate's second wine (first produced 1992), is made from selected plots that ripen and express themselves earlier than those reserved for the grand vin, giving a lighter-intensity, earlier-drinking style. Like the grand vin it is a botrytis-affected blend of Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle, hand-harvested in successive tries.

Tasting Notes

Producer tasting notes: intense golden-yellow color with an expressive nose of candied yellow fruit, quince, frangipani and mild spice, with a hint of minerality; more approachable young than the grand vin.
