Chateau Trocard is a Bordeaux Superieur estate in the Libournais, run by the Trocard family, who have farmed vineyards in the region for 14 generations. The 35-hectare property sits on former gravel banks of the Isle River. The wine is a blend of roughly 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, vinified without oak aging and given an extended 28-day maceration. ABV around 14.5%.
Tasting Notes
Producer/press notes describe the wine as juicy and full of ripe fruit, with a dark violet color and a blackcurrant core; Silver Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and a star in the Guide Hachette des Vins.
