Gitton Pere & Fils has estate-grown and bottled Sancerre since 1945, when Marcel and Huguette Gitton began with under a hectare of vines; run today by Pascal Gitton and family, the domaine farms 33 ha across Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume and Coteaux du Giennois and pioneered parcel-by-parcel, single-terroir Sancerre vinification. This "Domaine" bottling is the estate's classic Sancerre blanc - 100% Sauvignon Blanc from a selection of Gitton's limestone parcels - fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged six months in stainless steel tank.
