Profile & Story
La Caravelle is a proprietary Champagne brand created by Rita and Andre Jammet, former owners of the celebrated Manhattan French restaurant La Caravelle (closed 2004), continuing the restaurant's house-Champagne tradition under their own name with grower partners in Epernay. Cuvee Nina is a non-vintage Brut blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier (roughly even thirds), aged a minimum of three years on the lees with reserve wines maintained in a solera system.
Tasting Notes
Producer's own tasting note: lively gold color with a fine, generous mousse; nose of dried tropical fruit, pear, subtle brioche and apricot pit; palate of white peach, pear and gingerbread spice.
