La Croix de Carbonnieux is the second wine of Chateau Carbonnieux, a classified growth (Cru Classe de Graves) in Pessac-Leognan owned by the Perrin family and one of Bordeaux's oldest estates, with winemaking traced to the Benedictine monks of Sainte-Croix Abbey. La Croix de Carbonnieux Red is crafted from plot selections of the Carbonnieux classified-growth vineyard, blended from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged 12 months in Bordeaux barrels.
Tasting Notes
Producer tasting note: a beautiful ruby color, with a nose of red fruits and a pleasant smoky note on the palate typical of Leognan wines; slightly less powerful than the grand vin, highly appreciated in gastronomy.
